I had the exact same reaction just a couple of days ago! I think it's the perfect blend of easy to learn but challenging to play - and pretty.

It's so hard to help a sport grow especially when you need to have access to a facility even for practice. Must be even harder for you guys - all korfball needs is a gym and that's difficult enough in many cities.
Isn't kayak polo also in the world games?
