Knock on wood, but mine seems to have recovered on its own. Rebooting my cable box takes 9 minutes, so I didn't want to do that.

I think Cal got shafted, but unless the Detroit writers have a time machine, they could not have voted against him as retribution for the Tigers losing to the Mariners in the playoffs. The voting deadline occurred before the playoffs began.

I agree with you about the Big Market Bias, but winning the World Series would not have changed a thing for Cal Raleigh. The voting deadline is prior to any playoff games being played. Sadly, there's even less reason for optimism than you think.

You don't really expect a Seattle witch to support the Niners, do you? I think you would need to find a more powerful witch to counter the spells likely cast by the Seattle one. As a 49ers hater, I do not wish you well in this endeavor.

I'm not sure they give up that much for a one-year rental. Additionally, the 2027 season seems to be in great peril with the labor agreement due for renewal, which would make a possibility of a long-term signing less likely, IMO.

I've known several people who left for this reason. I'm either immunized by knowing no other way or unknowingly depressed half of each year.
