I feel you. If i just wanna hear music loud, I'll put on headphones. Concerts are for performances.

never accept a device as a gift. It's how stalkers operate.

Yup. I am building an app, and I have to routinely stop people from turning the interface into a prompt and useful output into slop. It's pretty much on a weekly basis.

Dude. Elon Musk sig hieled on the presidential podium, Trump broke all of global trade, the government admitted they have alien bodies and space ships, and Trump is rapidly re-awaking the nuclear world. Nobody cares about this. At all.

You would need to have knowledge of the entire supply chain of every product you buy to know that. And you would have to track the cost of everything you buy too.

That's exactly what republicans said they were going to do.

So that hopefully, you will not recapitulate the horror of a rushed attempt to fix everyone's problems without questioning yourself.

Let me put it in terms startups can understand:

Users are like investors, except when they are betrayed, instead of dropping funding, they become your enemy. And so far, the investors don't think you can achieve your goals given all the current problems you have not fixed.

So, if you're not having kids, there is nothing wrong with you. You should not feel guilty. You are having the absolute most normal human reaction to the economics of the situation you're in. Everyone yelling at you now *just figured this out.*

Nearly 20% of Americans are now rich.

Workers ceasing to exist is not just a rich people problem. It is everyone's problem. And it is coming. For a preview of this, watch China over the next 5-10 years.

Big cities make real-estate, education, and safety challenging, so kids are frivolous, costly interruptions. Each country goes from ~4 kids per woman to ~0.8 amid a wealth boom from machines. It unlocks retirement but only if workers keeps going. Once we're all rich, it fails.

Machines make more money, so everyone flocks to machine-improvement jobs. The result is urbanization. It is not a choice to urbanize. It is a consequence of machines. It happens every time, without fail.
December 4, 2024 at 6:27 PM

Every country starts with farmers who, due to constant labor, struggle to become literate and build machines to automate tasks. This results in Imperialism and Feudalism. Once people learn to build machines, the focus shifts to money. Capitalism, Socialism, and Communism form.

First, while it is wrong to pressure people to have kids, I understand why smart leaders do it. But you must learn history to understand that...
December 4, 2024 at 6:27 PM
That's mostly true, but we cannot just stand on a moral high ground as a strategy. We must get smarter, whether or not it seems "fair," or makes sense to find transgenders discomforting. Change takes time, people require patience, and you catch more flies with honey. People are not machines.

There are open source LLMs on-par with the best AIs, but they are hard for casual users. They improve every year, but if that slows down, even one person like myself could pick it up. The hard part is refining the model. This is just making an interface and an installer. Easy stuff! : )

This was my *primary* hope. The industry is so brutally squeezed, that the doctor greets you on their way out the door. They are overworked even with a team of helpers.
November 20, 2024 at 10:43 PM
Is it safe to say that the barrier is essentially just jobs that require arms? That is a recurring trend in AI. I certainly would not miss going through the work to have something looked at only to find out it's nothing. Maybe diagnoses will be free and performed at home in some cases?

Hereditary. And then I apologize after they've seen it.
