This boy really really needs a forever home. He’s been with us 9 months now. Fostering is great but it’s a bit harder to get him in front of potential adoptees. Riker is under Nashville MACC authority, loves play, treats, cuddles, bedtime hugs and kisses, and just wants love and pets.

Sometimes, my husband doesn’t realize that I have short person problems and need things to be easier to reach - thus extra bowls up top, regular use on the lower levels. 😅 He kept putting like with like, which usually makes perfect sense, but this is an exception. 🥴

Well this cold snap lets me try out the new wood stove! (The wood in front is drying out.)
Still working out the learning curve on how to start a fire in it - I’m usually pretty good at fire building, but this Nova Wood has quirks like needing the door cracked just a bit until the logs really burn.

So today’s event - slicing a nice, deep, 2 centimeter nick into my leg while cutting kindling for the new wood stove. But sticking a butterfly strip on it and carrying on.
