Conserving and caring for the lands and waters of the Hudson Highlands so that people and nature can flourish together for generations to come.
We love where we live, but it’s becoming harder for many people to call the Hudson River Valley home. As a member of the HV Alliance for Housing and Conservation, HHLT is proud to partner with 15 land trusts & affordable housing orgs to promote land conservation & affordable housing together.

HHLT Preserve Manager, Cory Tiger, was out monitoring properties this week and had some company, a belted kingfisher making its rounds along the water’s edge. These distinctive birds are known for their rattling call and unique hunting style, hovering above water before diving to catch their prey.
