After ~40 hours I decided to drop #kingdomhearts II. Which is too bad because I really tried to like the game but seeing the same worlds recycled for the 4th game in a row, underwhelming combat and the Nomura signature over-convoluted story really make it hard to see it through to the end :/ .

I hate the online reaction cycle that praises a piece of art a lot and uses it as an example of what’s good about the medium but then the moment it gets awards or enough acclaim or fandom, suddenly we have to talk about how it’s actually not really that good and it’s overrated and always sucked

The main reason I cannot enjoy #battlefield6 RedSec is due to the unwillingness of BF Studios to truly embrace what makes a Battle Royale a Battle Royale. Small map (for BRs), lots of missions and constant redeploys really suck out the soul of the game mode as it suffers from personality disorder :(

The main reason I cannot enjoy #battlefield6 RedSec is due to the unwillingness of BF Studios to truly embrace what makes a Battle Royale a Battle Royale. Zohran Mamdani caught lying that he understood Plato’s allegory of the cave, yet when asked to explain it, he seemed to instead explain Baudrillard’s theory of Simulacra and Simulation where reality has been replaced by symbols and signs, which seems similar to Plato’s theory but is not the same

When the Tyranny of King Washington was released in 2013 for #assassinscreed 3 it was wildly applauded and praised by the gaming community. Now, in 2025, projects of similar story and cultural critique are cowardly and quietly cancelled. Fuck right-wingers and all the grifters that build them up.

Both the #stateofplay and the #nintendo direct were awesome. They were both packed with heavy-hitters and surprises (like Let It Die). Too bad the events got dismissed by the average gamer :(

I have since taken the Lala pill and I couldn’t be happier!

With console hardware sales being announced a lot of people are taking shots at #Sony’s #PS2 absurd numbers of consoles sold. The thing that I need young zoomers to understand is that the #PlayStation had a such a cultural grip on BOTH gaming AND media consumption. (1/2)
