In Chris’ opinion, it remains the pinnacle of experiential and environmental storytelling. Months after the close of the show, he is still in the thrall of its dark magick.

Unless you have a spare hour and a lot of patience, do not ask our engineer Chris about the immersive theatre experience Sleep No More. His first visit to the McKittrick hotel was on a Hidden Door social outing, and it got its talons in him deep.

Chris’ interests are very much at the heretofore unrealized nexus of concurrent algorithms and fatherhood, so it’s not really surprising that he’s still thinking about it three months after watching. (and talking. at length. using words like "heretofore unrealized nexus" 🙄)

It's the best of sci-fi, telling a story that is both intimate and expansive, cerebral and touching, and using its high-concept premise to examine what it means to be human, without that ever feeling like forced philosophizing.
