A double Beatles milestone today...

60 years ago, The Beatles played their final Liverpool gig at the Empire - the stage where they appeared as The Quarrymen 3 years earlier

It’s also the 10th anniversary of the unveiling of the Cavern Club commissioned Pier Head statues.

Vote for Lime Street Station in The most life-changing station of the last 200 years poll.

After all, there can't be many people from Liverpool that haven't had some major part of their life touched by a rail journey to or from there at some point.

Generations of my family worked on the River Mersey. My great-grandad, grandad, and dad all earned their living there. I went into IT, but today, I joined them! Had the pleasure of live-guiding today's Ferry Cruise on Snowdrop (the Razzle Dazzle Ferry).

A bit of New York in Liverpool.

Liverpool is standing in, once again, for The Big Apple for filming - this time for the upcoming Channel 4 series 'A Woman of Substance' starring Brenda Blethyn.

Pic taken outside the Liver Building.

The beautifully decorated doors of Caffè Nero on Castle Street, once the Adelphi Bank.

The panels show stories of brotherly love. Adelphi is the Greek word for 'brothers'.

A close up of the depiction of Death that's on the Nelson Monument that stands in Exchange Flags.

It made me feel uncomfortable as a kid, and still does now.

On May 12th 2000, the gates of @strawberryfield were stolen.

They were sold to a scrap merchant who returned them to The Salvation Army upon realising their significance

The original gates are now on display in the grounds, with replica gates at the entrance
