Yeah, hell no on this one. Shopify's CEO has openly supported the US's tariff pressure on Canada and wants to build our own DOGE. Theres nothing groundbreaking about Shopify's tech. We shouldn't be trying to build DOGE, we should be trying to build our own digital services group like 18F.

The general understanding of AI is problematic. LLMs are not a "brain", just relationships between inputs and outputs. The only way to advance the tech is to keep adding more relationships (big resources and $) but the true cost is subsidized by investors chasing imaginary ROI. How is this bubble OK

Kudos for even being able to tolerate that site. I couldn't stand X by the time I left, can't imagine Trump Social is anything but worse.

It's not AI. AI is just not there yet at this scale. It's just the latest bullshit term for culling the workforce and sounds a lot more impressive than "efficiencies" and "right-sizing".

No way they make it to the World Series without Springer's epic season. And as much as I like Springer and I hope he can have another couple great years in the game, they can't count on a repeat of that. Hopefully they can add a bat and Santander is healthy.

Next year Vlad, Bo, Barger, and Santander all hit 40 HR, the team wins 110 games by Sept 1, then puts the entire roster on the IL for a month to rest everyone. In WS game 6, Yesavage retires 26 Dodgers in order, then walks the #9 hitter just so he can strike out Ohtani a fourth time to win it all.
