The new overflow pool near the entrance to the park is becoming populated with self seeded bulrushes. There are dozens of Poplar seedlings on the banks.

A crab apple tree near the old Henburys wall. This is one of the trees that was donated by the National Trust for their blossom trail .

An artichoke gall on one of the oak saplings near the road entrance to the park. It's caused by the Andricus wasp which lays its eggs in a leaf bud.

The new pool next to the park entrance is filling up with water. Imagine it with grassy banks and bulrushes - a new playground for the heron!
