The new overflow pool near the entrance to the park is becoming populated with self seeded bulrushes. There are dozens of Poplar seedlings on the banks.

A crab apple tree near the old Henburys wall. This is one of the trees that was donated by the National Trust for their blossom trail .

Corn marigolds and cornflowers near the stream. The marigolds were planted by @bbcwildlifetrust.bsky.social five years ago and have suddenly reappeared

An artichoke gall on one of the oak saplings near the road entrance to the park. It's caused by the Andricus wasp which lays its eggs in a leaf bud.

The new pool next to the park entrance is filling up with water. Imagine it with grassy banks and bulrushes - a new playground for the heron!
