Glaciers are big. Like really big.
A tidewater glacier in Blackstone Bay, Prince William Sound, Alaska. Photo taken from about 1/4 mile away. A small fishing boat is in the foreground closer to the glacier and is minuscule compared to the size of the front wall of ice. The glacier appears blue and white in color with streaks of black and brown from the sediment it has scoured out of the mountains. A arched ice cave is visible at the waterline. Small rivulets of melt water are cascading down the rocks next to the glacier.

Tattuesday!

This is one piece, wrapping around my forearm.
Part of a tattoo on the arm of a pasty pale white dude: a bat/gargoyle wing depicted in shades of brown, black and grey. The wing is tattered and torn. Center section of same tattoo, an hourglass in black and grey shading with reddish/sepia sand. The sand has mostly fallen to the bottom, representing time running out. Final section of the tattoo, the second wing wrapping around my forearm. It has the same shading as the first wing.
