Trans people are not the same as cis people either way. Trans women are not cis men nor are they cis women. I realize they are changing their sex traits, and we can be more specific and say mtf (male to female), etc.

But we wouldn’t actually ever have to agree on definitions..🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

“You can pretend” is so emotionally loaded. No, you cannot replicate exactly the opposite sex. But I think the perspective that people who hormonally and surgically transition are “biologically” the sex they were assigned at birth is somewhat disingenuous. Imo they change sex into an intersex state.

I don’t think if we couldn’t change sex that saying so would be sexist or imply any inferiority of women. Bringing up “women can’t vote because they’re emotional” definitely feels like a straw man to me.

However, we DO live in an age where people can change their sex/bodies.
