Ukraine has shown that high tech NATO weapons can slow but not stop a low tech army that is willing to sacrifice its men in meat assaults. Ukraine has also suffered huge losses, but they are tough people defending their homeland.

Your argument is false. Putin does not want all of Europe, he wants the Baltic Republics. If they fall, Hungary will then likely fold and become a puppet state and Putin has recreated his empire.
