Ramen is deep fried to dry out (decreasing drying time for the factory and cook time for the consumer, while also tasting better) so like it’s actually not that different from the fried noodles they put on Khao Soi or something like that.

I see this take all the time and it drives me insane. Not only has American hours worked stayed relatively stable while reading has continue along its decline starting with the radio, I find it very silly to think that less work hours wouldn’t be plowed into more phone time.

I mean, the problem is that inflation deeply affects everyone but is hard to understand. Even if you understand them it’s easy to stick your head in the sand because the solutions suck. So everyone ends up wanting ineffective to outright counterproductive policy
