This one is way out in the middle of nowhere on a highway to the Rockies. They either forgot about it or it’d be too much work to upgrade the lines to it to make it handle fancy new things like pay by credit card. If your breaks down, better hope you still have change in the glove compartment.

Keep getting distracted from posting this but was so excited when I saw it, I slammed on the brakes as we drove past so I could get the picture. Look at this thing! It still takes coins, only coins. This is a vintage payphone. Still works too.

It’s gone! Played the long game on this one. Made this photo in 2023, specifically on film, because I knew this sign wasn’t long for this world. The mobile home park was gone, a new “condo presale” banner was up, but the sign still stood. It was still there two days ago but today it’s gone. #calgary
