I have come to the conclusion that I will probably not have a job next year due to budget cuts. Sometimes I hate being a teacher.

Going back to work after a week off for Thanksgiving should not give me anxiety. But now that I go back tomorrow I'm getting incredibly irritable, not hungry, and simply unpleasant. And I go back to state testing. Yay.

Unpopular opinion: traveling down the back roads from Jacksonville to Orlando is better than going on the highway. Especially since the scenery is generally all farmland and not developed.

My school district just announced that they cut all but 2 media specialist jobs in the county. These are the school librarians who work hard to make sure the students in our county have access to books, technology, and more. This is disgusting and a travesty.

Wish me luck. I just applied for my first non-teacher job as an assistant librarian at the local community college. Hopefully, everything goes my way but I'm proud of myself for actually doing it and not just talking about doing it.

Being a teacher at the end of the year means showing movies. And by this I mean Shrek which is great because now my students will listen as I say all the lines of the movie. Because this movie came out in 2001. What do you mean Shrek is 24 years old? I feel old...
