Occasional embroiderer, stitcher, and tufter. The ideas are usually better than the execution!
Hans felt immense satisfaction each time he polished his helmet.

That's a great picture. Looking forward to your painting. The red brick and the pedestrian reminded me of this picture.

If it helps, you made my day brighter!
I guess "foot store" is a typo, but I'm now imagining going into a shop & getting new feet. Chatting with the sales assistant: "This last pair was a bit wide, and frankly, a little sweaty. Do you have something in a 7?"
Wishing you a better tomorrow, x

That is amazingly detailed! So much to look at - there's a hundred stories in there waiting to be told. I love the cat and dog at the base of the tree. And I love all the little insects too!

We're sharing a citrus theme!
This is a holiday project - I had a delicious freshly squeezed orange juice in Taroudant, Morocco. This is me trying to stitch some patterns I saw - doorway, wooden trellis work, paving slabs - along with that orange!

You stand in an empty narrow basement. To your left is a corridor. In front of you is a door. To the right of the door are some pipes. Do you:
Go down the corridor (turn to page 175)
Open the door (turn to page 231)
Investigate the pipes (turn to page 83)

Yah. I was coming in to post the same!

That's a great drawing. I love how the tower on the left peers around the corner with a concerned look on its face to see what's going on, while keeping a distance. On the right, the lit side of the tower looks back with a "WTF?" expression, while the shaded side is ready to run the hell away!

Was actually The Silver Chair I was thinking of. Am going to have to reread it now!
Many years since I read Last Battle, but I remember thinking the core message was that if you're a good Muslim or a good Christian, you get a good afterlife. But I'll second your description of it as weird!

There's got to be a fantastic English essay comparing and contrasting those novels!

This is the classic in the series, equivalent to Star Wars "A New Hope" - a complete story, and feel-good. I later read "The Magician's Nephew" and was traumatised. It had such a different vibe. Ice-cold relationships between the characters, and cold, lonely other worlds. Iirc, book 6 was weird too.

I shall keep my hands warm this winter, huddling around this slow-burning hot take!
