I don’t mind a book that isn’t evocative or descriptive (although I generally prefer it) but like it feels really clunky for you to insist on making sure I’m aware of the exact geography of where the characters are every single time they move yet I have no idea what these places mean to them

me, ~20 years ago: "I'm a computer information science major, why is an ethics course part of my core degree requirements?"

You can assess them in person cause they taste fine but they are just kind of a bit pasty texture wise!

There are also some absolutely diabolical expository sentences in here but not sure whether to attribute that to the writing style or the translation
