As someone who used to live in LA and has been a self-proclaimed LA hater, and now urban planner, this piece was deeply convicting. Beautifully written, passionate, and shows the intersectionality of place, politics, and the games industry. Wow.

Something tells me it would be a very Team Cherry move to do so, but there’s just not a lot of precedent because hollow knight was so long ago and they haven’t released anything else

For goty? Can’t SOTE not be nominated since it’s a DLC? Same thing happened for Witcher 3 DLC’s if I’m not mistaken and they also were ruled ineligible.

Okay I’m glad it’s not just me! Perhaps in some respects it’s not a terrible thing? More exposure to more experiences and perspectives of amazing devs I otherwise never would’ve touched if I was asked to pay full price? But where does that benefit end when I’m not giving the art full due diligence?

I have to admit I didn’t get to finish my playthrough but the aforementioned problem was the cause of me dropping it. I should’ve turned to a guide but I was too stubborn lol
