Right?? Like gas's prices have been fluctuating but has overall bene falling for awhile now. I remember when I was in highschool complaining about the gas being $3+ now it's down to $2.65.

And a funny thing is as soon as the media attention is mostly off of Biden, he suddenly seems competent. 🤔

It's crazy how it's being covered now even though this has been happening since 2021. Like the rhetoric was "Biden is raising our egg prices!!!" But now with president elect trump taking office soon, the story has changed to actually explain whats happening instead of blaming it on the president.

I totally agree! There need to be incentives to increase US production. You gotta treat companies like dogs, punishment doesn't work, you gotta encourage good behavior.

Though I'm not educated on the non citizen part so I won't comment on that.

This is what is driving up our grocery prices. It's all traceable back to the corporations. If their industries are deregulated, you know who going to keep those savings? The company.

We all need to understand companies do NOT give a fuck about you and would ruin your life for extra dough.

We need to transfer from trickle down economics which has been proven to not work. People need to be payed proper living wages, but that's not happening, so another way is to tax that money away from those at the top who have benefited from trickle down economics while not spreading it like intended

While *mostly* agree most taxes are fine ATM, it's the high end of the 1% that has a absurd amount of income. I'm talking about the 0.1%

This class along with corporations need to be paying more in taxes as it can't be good for the economy to by hoarding this wealth away from the rest of the popula
November 20, 2024 at 7:43 PM
I would say that is a flawed analogy, and it's opening a can of worms getting into socialism, which I don't have the energy to discuss rn.
November 20, 2024 at 7:43 PM
But because of how our economic system is built, such large wealth hoarding of a few is directly harming the whole group. If that wealth is spread around and put to use, would that not be for the better?
November 20, 2024 at 7:20 PM
They may own the business but the person and the business is two separate entities. But just because they own the business and make profit shouldn't mean they don't deserve to be taxed
November 20, 2024 at 7:18 PM
It is our duty as citizens to try and learn as much as we can and surround ourselves with unbiased media. It's great to be in our own parties echo chamber, but we all come out better if we can all look at actual facts and discuss rationally
November 20, 2024 at 7:11 PM
I just don't trust the source that backs Donald Trump. And mainly wrote project 2025. They are not bipartisan
November 20, 2024 at 7:07 PM
While they may be paying more in taxes (as they should) the amount of wealth they have accrued has also gone up while every other classes has gone down.

Also why do you care if we tax the rich, it's less the average person has to pay

And get another source. The heritage foundation is heavily skewed.

Find more data and come back with a .gov source
November 20, 2024 at 6:54 PM
This goes directly against the data. Inflation is going down and the stock market is doing great. But people are still struggling 🤔 what's happening to all that wealth. Oh wait it's because our government still believes in trickle down economics which has been proven to not work 😜
November 20, 2024 at 6:52 PM
But can you agree that deregulation isnt going to help anyone but corporations.

Corporations don't look out for anyone or anything except for their stock holders and filling their wallets. So if they are given the chance to cut corners, they will.
November 20, 2024 at 6:46 PM
While that's true, more people are also doing a good job paying off the debt. But the fact is inflation is on its way down and if trump doesn't fuck it up again (impossible edition) then it shall continue to fall.
November 20, 2024 at 6:40 PM
Exactly! I agree to moving production to the US would be beneficial. But this would take decades and tarrifs are not the way atleast in the beginning.
November 20, 2024 at 5:09 PM
Inflation it's on its way down, Biden is going to hand trump a strong economy. Is it as strong as it could be? No, but if things are left the way they are right now, inflation would fall and the GDP would continue to rise.
