Disarmament fan after working with landmine and cluster bomb clearance programs in Cambodia, Laos, and Lebanon.

Syria also has a place in my heart.

I dig public transit and local government, too.

Proudly from PG County. Now in Pittsburgh.
Topographical challenges (that was a typographical challenge).

I Googled it and see all the reasons like underfunded, aging fleet, staffing, typographical challenges but it seems like even the main arteries are rarely taken care of (going by social media, not personal observation).

I see the snow plow tracker isn't working, either. This seems to be an eternal issue for Pittsburgh. Here in Millvale they're always on top of it. I know Millvale is way smaller but why does Pittsburgh have this issue across administrations over the years?

As a long-time micro investor who moved from NYC to Pittsburgh in 2020, I say let's do it! Could be through universities or other partners, too.

Came here to say the same! The Mayor of Wrocław was indicted. The Mayor of Warsaw is leading a charge for people with those degrees to retake exams.

A fun one was organizing a ride on an NYC sludge vessel (look it up, very cool!) for our international colleagues to share what they do with biosolids collected from wastewater treatment centers. Was great to facilitate international poop conversations with incredible views.

For example, in September 2017 I helped facilitate an exchange between the New York City Fire Department and Syria's White Helmets. They discussed responding to 9/11 and bombings in Syria. The smell of burning bodies. The pain of ashes in their lungs. The shared humanity. Not a dry eye in the room.

Stellar reporting. And I'm not just saying that because you cited the PAX Don't Bank on the Bomb report re: nuclear weapons producers. I'm sure @susisnyder.bsky.social would be happy to know that her research keeps on keeping on.
