They're very indie now, but Argentina used to have "manga-like" magazines for indie and small comic books - you bought a monthly or quarterly volume and got the next chapter of 20 different ongoing comics + interviews and news. It was great!

Today's ride was a pilgrimage to a Gauchito Gil shrine - an Argentinian folk saint, outlaw gaucho, army deserter, cattle rustler and miracle worker.

Spring is a time for new things, rebirth and turning of wheels. The old bike is gone, sold to a caring home, and has been replace by what I always really wanted: a tough do-it-all bike that can eat potholes and dirt roads for breakfast and take me literally anywhere.

As a thank you for helping me reach 60% of my goal, here's a few pics from Saturday's MASSIVE group ride and lunch. Almost fifty bikes by my count, extremely fun to just simply own the highway for a spell.

and just like that we've crept past the 50% mark! Thank you all, but we're still not done. Please remember every US dollar goes a long way here. Even 5 or 10 dollars makes a huge difference in my country. 10 dollars is almost enough to fill my gas tank. 5 dollars buys 30 eggs.

Tonight we played A Few Acres of Snow, a very tight deckbuilding wargame set in the French-British Seven Years' War. Absolutely loved it. The swelling deck representing the increasingly unmanageable logistics of a war waged at the end of a very long supply line is genius.
