To be fair, in Italy we are now at a historical maximum in terms of occupation.
Problem is, the average wage is not enough to live.
Many people in line at soup kitchens work full time jobs.
Inflation ramps up and wages do not follow.
Only high end jobs allow a good living. The game is rigged.

When I read this the first time, I immediately thought about Guido Barilla, president of the eponymous multinational, when he gave a speech reprimanding young people for not working hard enough, not taking enough risks and instead "staying on the couch taking subsidies".
