I think it’s worth a watch if you get a chance: in classic “surrealist film” fashion, everyone gets something out of it a little differently. Teenage me just happened to love the gritty/edgy parts of it and I felt soooo deep for that 💀

Cozy and beautifully animated. I never read Anne of Green Gables, so that may skew my perspective, but I greatly prefer Anne with an E. Her childhood in Green Gables is so endearing but so short in the anime: the story post-college pales. Unsure how to rate but a lovely watch 🌸

I’ve been struggling with some stress-related hair loss in my bangs area for the past year and have been so disappointed with several dry shampoos (looking right at you, dae….). I’ll have to try this one next, ty for sharing!!

I relate a lot to our anxious, people-pleasing girlie Eve and the terror of losing her one grounding presence (her partner + her pet) hit close to home. The buildup of dread was so good. Side note, reading the beginning was reminiscent to the feeling I got watching the 1st part of “Mother!”…

I’m notoriously a slow reader but I flew through this. I agree with a lot of other people’s reviews in that the book was maybe trying to do too much, but that doesn’t take away from some of the abs blood chilling scenes (the neighbor’s house, the basement stair shadow…)
