Trump is trying to bully our allies Canada, Colombia, Denmark, and Panama, threatening tariffs if they don't do what he says.

Really?

What about imposing tariffs on drug companies that charge us 10 times more than other countries pay for the same drug?

On this day in 2010, Howard Zinn, historian, activist, and author of A People’s History of the United States, passed away. His work empowered people to challenge injustice, resist oppression, and fight for a more equitable world. Let his legacy inspire us to create change. #HowardZinn

Trump said he wants to “clean out” Gaza and push the millions of Palestinians living there into neighboring countries.

There is a name for this — ethnic cleansing — and it’s a war crime.

This outrageous idea should be condemned by every American.

Trump was indeed “a dictator on day one” by signing an unprecedented number of executive orders like attempting to end birthright citizenship, pardoning Jan. 6 rioters, expanding the death penalty, revoking climate policies and many more. His actions signal an alarming shift toward authoritarianism.

The irony cuts deep: a day honoring Dr. King’s dream of justice and equality is shared by the second inauguration of a leader whose hateful rhetoric and policies have sown division—a stark contrast between hope for unity and the reality of our fractured present. I choose Dr. King’s vision.
