I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
But also that doesn't actually include the light or lightstand. You don't necessarily need a strobe light for many use cases and can get by with a portable flash & remote controller attached to the camera + an S-bracket adapter for your softbox.

A pop open umbrella softbox is worth the little more they usually cost to save you time & sanity. Having to get all the annoying rods into place all the time is a pia unless you keep it assembled & shoved into a corner all the time. Like this but not necessarily this one (I do have this one though).

Max quality jpegs + running them through jpegmini has been my go to process for years. Saves a ton on my server storage & makes load times much speedier.

I mean, nowhere's a Utopia, most of the country is uninhabitable and you've gotta not mind sharing your toilet with the resident house spider but other than that...

When they did away with 1 & 2 cent coins in Australia it's rounded down or up to the nearest 5 cents at the register. You'd think that's the logical answer here, too.

My block & mute list here is infinitely greater than on any other online platform I've been part of in the past 30+ years.

It seems like such a horrid utilization of space. I can't even figure out the logic in the floorplan.

Similar story with a kangaroo growing up. Just came out of nowhere and barreled right into the side of our car before continuing on its merry way. We did not.

They couldn't even humor you with a bottle of Martinellis so you could pretend to forget your meal is soulless misery and apathy incarnate.

Gonna maybe scrape the dregs of your pumpkin spice latte into that pie shell for a lil pep so it's not just sloppy pumpkin guts & canned milk in there? Psst, it'll also need eggs to not be sloppy slop.

How y'all cooking that turkey with just a packet of stuffing jammed up its nethers?
Planning to mash those potatoes with your fist & salty tears?
Enjoy those tart crunchy cranberries rolling around. Are they being used as table decoration? Pellets to covertly flick at your siblings?

Literally life in my house. 15 yr old baked cookies earlier this week. Pan slipped and several hit the floor. He carefully packed up the the unbroken cookies for his friends & told us we could eat the floor cookies.

No matter how many times I read it, every time, my brain processes latenite as latten-ite & I have no idea why!

My librarian was the complete opposite. She tried to keep up with me until I'd gone through everything considered "age appropriate" by the ripe old age of 11, at which point she set me loose in the adult section & told me to have at it.

My eldest is 15 & my twins 10, yet the visceral reaction my body still has to hearing a newborn baby cry never ceases to confound me.
