meeting up with an ex (2am comic idea)
Two comic panels that show two women sitting at a table with drinks (they’re at a cafe or something, presumably). In the first panel, a woman with bags and a ponytail is holding some kind of warm drink and looking tired and annoyed. She says, “not sure why you called me but I hope it’s important, I was getting pretty used to the whole ‘never speaking to each other again’ arrangement we had going on.” In the next panel, an equally tired and annoyed looking woman is toying with the straw of her drink. She has a bunch of piercings, microbangs, and messy hair. she replies, “oh, you were? I guess it has been almost a month since I last got one of your drunk voicemails.” A panel that shows just both of their faces in profile, almost nose-to-nose. The first woman is actively pissed off now, her teeth clenched: “okay, fuck you?? I was thinking about college AU Cithis and Pattadol again this weekend

prepping the pilot for immersion. Concept sketch/messing around with ideas for the comic I’m working on
a sketch of a mech pilot being prepped for a sortie. The pilot—Maris Keigh, that’s right you’re getting character names in the alt text—is suspended by some mounting points on her suit, which act like a harness. A scientist—no character name. They’re nobody—is standing on some kind of scissor lift that’s coming up out of the ground and they’re fiddling with a display connected to some wires that run to Maris’ forearm. Several more wires and cables are connected to Maris’ back, a large one dangles and coils on the ground below her. In the background, another mechanic—Amira—approaches, holding some equipment and moving some of the dangling cables aside. Maris is glancing over her shoulder towards Amira as if she has heard her approaching.

long overdue new pfp!

working on a pilot for a mech with a fluid-filled cockpit

There is some kind of armor or plate on the upper chest, and harness straps around the shoulders and across the thighs. The mounting points on these harness allow the pilot to be lowered in and out of the liquid-filled cockpit. warming up with a pilot and some extremely vibes-based perspective.
my default is usually a dry cockpit for my mechs but a thing i’m working on will involve some breathable goo type cockpits so at some point I should work out what that looks like for me
