How do you interpret China's treatment of the Uyghurs?
It can be argued that it differs from traditional imperialism, as it lacks sufficient power and modern-era colonialism functioned in a somewhat different manner; unlike traditional imperialism, it operates with limited power and modern colonialism manifests differently.
