She was at the school when the bus returned
On the ride home she asked what happened
I told her
And she said, Why would you listen to them if you knew they were wrong?
Obvs, because they were adults and I thought they'd solve the problem. But I knew that was the wrong answer. So I shrugged

They were telling her all the kids made it home...so she'd driven to the school to find me
