By then, the 938 Billion that is cut from Medicare will have shuttered Nursing Homes and all the immigrants that were working those jobs will have been deported. Not offered a way to citizenship or even allowed to finish the process they started to become one.

For those of us Gen Xers who have parents aging and possibly needing outside care in the next 10 years, we will need each other’s support because it’s not going to be easy.

The quicker people realize all the lies that they were told, the quicker we can fix it. Big chunks of the Bill won’t go into affect until 2027, and people wont start to feel those affects until 2029.

I’m applying for my Canadian Dual Citizenship. I’ve never in my life felt like I needed an escape plan. This is like a fever dream. In the meantime, I’m so very grateful to be living in the second most Progressive state in the union. If I do ever leave, it will be to another Country.

Just hearing other countries put out travel warnings about coming to America makes “The land of the free and the home of the brave” seems like the description of a country that isn’t ours.

The very fabric of America that Gen X was taught, standing in our classrooms for 13 years with our hands over our hearts, feeling like we lived in a world where all the other countries envied us is a fleeting thought. It’s dread honestly.
