8. Brown served 100% of his sentence for robbery. Then he was released MONTHS BEFORE THE TASK FORCE EVEN GAVE ITS RECOMMENDATIONS.

None of the task force's recommendations were ever adopted by the legislature, and, in any event, the task force did not recommend that anyone be released early.

This is also a lie.

The executive order created a commission to produce recommendations for criminal justice reform.

5. In January, Brown was charged with misusing 911. Brown told police officers that he had ingested some material that controlled his actions, and when the officers said they couldn't help, he got upset and called 911.

The maximum penalty for this offense under NC law is 120 days.
