There’s something chaotic about the holiday season that puts me in a flow state oh wait no that’s a trauma response

I swapped out no less than 3 switches, 6 fuses and 2 relays on my 20yr old car to get it running again but dammit, I did it myself (over the course of not having a running car for a week) !
December 21, 2025 at 1:29 AM
Ah, the holidays. When extended family members randomly show up expecting to stay for a week despite not having seen or talked to them in a year.

I’ve had *so* much pizza, HOW AM I NOT FULFILLED??

Buying a Christmas tree as a millennial is super fun because your friends will berate you for it’s size and the fact that it’s a real tree and your family will berate you for the price you paid and its lack of perfection 🙃

You will never understand the appeal of homeschooling until you have a kid [that you care about]

Why does the variety pack always have the least of the best kind

Nothing makes me want to bash my stupid brains out of my skull more than hiccups. Get a fucking grip, body. 🙄

The irony of people adopting the patterns of nature (camouflage) to undermine the efforts of people who want to preserve the natural environment is…a dark joke? Idk, good one universe?

The inverse of ‘fur babies’ doesn’t work as well. ie: people don’t like me calling the kid ‘our flesh pet’

Mission accomplished! 4 custom frames for these gorgeous #firefly prints. Pine with splined corners, india ink stain, spray lacquer finish, plexi glazing. Huge thanks to @almfab.bsky.social for his how-to video on this process!
June 17, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Finally getting to assemble the picture frames!
June 17, 2025 at 7:35 PM
1st coat of india ink on the frames, I’m thinking 2 coats will get the desired effect

I don’t wanna get into rock climbing but I do want to start a collection of rock climbing hand holds.

Had a parental milestone today: stepped on an errant hotwheel and threw my back out
May 6, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Freshley printed ABS wheels went in the dishwasher and held up perfectly for their first run, did a sanitize and extra dry cycle since that seems like the most heat they’ll see? Still can’t believe how bad the original design is on such an expensive appliance
April 24, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Hahaha nope! I think contact with the side of the washer added enough heat to deform the petg wheels. Got some abs on order for another set
April 22, 2025 at 4:08 PM
I did a test run of a single wheel and it held up over 10 wash cycles, but I am curious how they’ll hold up after more. I’ll post updates at regular intervals
I think time will tell.
In theory, should be OK on day 1:
PETG has a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of around 70°C.
Dishwasher temperatures typically range from 49-66°C during the wash cycle and 60-68°C during the rinse cycle.
Additives may make a significant difference here.

3D printed some wheels to fix a critical flaw in our Bosch dishwasher. Side rails would flex out and bottom tray would fall down, keeping the bottom sprayer from rotating and washing. Widened wheels/mounts by 50% in blender, printed in petg on bambulab ps1, quality of life up by 300% minimum!

Finally got all 4 frames properly rabbeted and mitered! Here they are fresh off my new spline jig 😊

Started playing Blue Prince and am really enjoying the artstyle and pacing, plus any game that tells you to keep a journal gets me excited. Bonus that my 2yr old can watch me play and we can work on her learning ‘left’ and ‘right’

Best part of having a 3d printer is being able to make stuff you can’t buy, like this little bit holder for yellow drills
April 10, 2025 at 10:13 PM
So stoked for Promise Mascot Agency !!
April 10, 2025 at 7:45 PM
Ok…maybe more like 5th time’s the charm, but this time I actually got 4 frames all glued up at once 😅 (one on the floor) next: spline jig!
April 7, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Milled em wrong the first time, cut the miters wrong the second time, third time’s the charm! Of course I ran outta wood but 3/4 of the frames are in glue-up 😅
