depends on what your looking for in resource management. I like old JRPGs because how far you can get from town for me is an exercise in managing my pools (HP,MP,items)

But I also like creative watchmaker like Satisfactory/Factorio and some less intense variants like Shapez2 and Mini Settlers

Not my grab, but I can see why theyd be on your list. Early sonic games were really late to the multiple char choices and this era was an awkward teen phase.
But they basically managed to get the Adventure games book artstyle in a 2d sonic.
These were an awesome lineup!
