Enjoyed this! One of my other favourite podcasts at the moment is @charliehigson.bsky.social 's history podcast, and he released an interview with Helen Carr about this book today too. Made for an excellent listening double-bill as you both had interesting takes on the subject.

It's a really good read, so affecting

In 'A Life With Footnotes' Rob describes leaving a fairly uncommunicative Terry alone with NG. Then when he drives him back to the train station, NG tells Rob about the supposed request to adapt Good Omens. Seems mightily dubious now.

You always seem like a good bloke, so I hope you find some joy in what you do in future, you deserve it.
