Totayagree. we haven’t had a department of war since around 1949. A change in the name would have to be approved by Congress. It has not done so.

As someone who is a direct descendent (3rd grade grandfather) of someone who was forced on the Trail of Tears, I fear how he wants the treatment of Native Americans to be portrayed.

Any ballistic missile defense system with the capability to protect against launches of ICBMs and SLBMs (as well as long-range cruise missiles) launched against any target in the United States would also buy default cover Canada. This is whether Trump wants it to or not.

He didn’t make an official offer. He mentioned this in a speech which means a simply in his own head.
The point I was making is not about any offer. It’s about the fact that any system that would cover the continental United States would automatically cover Canada.

Of course they’re not considering the offer. Besides, by virtue of geography, if Trump manages to create the system, he thinks he’s planning to create. It would automatically cover Canada.
