It’s honey harvest weekend!

Not a massive crop, but I should have some jars available soon.

I've had quite a few messages asking about honey, which is lovely. Unfortunately I still don't have any in stock.

As you might have seen in the news we're now formally in drought conditions (www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... ) which is limiting the amount of nectar the plants are producing.

For the first time in a month all is well in the apiary. Swarm seasons seems to be calming down, all the new queens have successfully mated and have started laying.

We’re still well in the June gap but we’ve had some rain and the brambles and privet look like they’ll be flowering soon.

I'm an amateur bee keeper in the LS8 area of Leeds who keeps a couple of bee hives in the garden at home.
