Since everyone's saying listen to TOs, hi, I'm a TO, SSC needs to be dissolved and replaced with a CDC-style system or we will never have a good community safety system again
I still hold my opinion. Obviously we need something but it cannot be under the Splat Safety name or structure, we cannot keep forcing this just because we're afraid to try anything else. Yet again, I point at the French community and the CDC as the example of what we can and should be doing

The problem with telling people to just help pre-existing tournaments is it's comparatively more boring. You're not making decisions, you're usually volunteering to do the busywork. You might not get much recognition. It's important work, but it's not attractive at all. But then make that IRL...

Very hard for me to believe I only started TOing this year (alongside everything else that's changed in my life since February). It's been a busy one. I'm probably only doing charity stuff for online tournaments from now on but hoping to work on some LANs in 2025!! Happy New Year everyone 🎉
