Mostly about walking my dogs, cars and faff. SE London
Minus six here, it's awful. The dogs love it though, they enjoy tracking scent in the snow.

This chap, attacking Carl Lewis and accusing him of being gay which lost Lewis big sponsorship deals?

I stopped buying it after '93, the retirements and accidents took the edge off it for me, it didn't feel elite anymore. However I started buying it again last year and am looking forward to reading this year's book.

You can get massive posters of the front covers, they look good in the garage.

They do pro-biotics for dogs (from pet drugs online for a few gold coins) in pill, powder or paste form. It's helped my Figaro who suffers endless poops and episodes.

@mrjamesob.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk Regarding Simon Marks comments, the USA made it very difficult for transgender people from travelling to the USA many months ago and very little was said.

"... and then they came for me."

The last time I flew the flag was May 2020 when we celebrated VE Day during lockdown and had a long distance cup of self-supplied tea in the front garden with a neighbour.

Car MOT day today. I use an out of town company as they're Land Rover specialists but it also means I get to explore somewhere else for an hour. Bonus in that the car passed, no warnings. Fourteen years old. Outer SE London.

I love you @sainsburys.bsky.social but how the fudge am I supposed to read this email?

Deep into autumn today.

There's a big patch of fly agaric that grows in the woods, they're just beginning to come up. I'll try to get more pictures as they appear.

The calm before the storm (Amy). Today will be a day of making sure everything is put back in the shed.

Cobweb day, today. Lots of mist and fog (I don't know what the difference is) for our dog walk.

What a beautiful morning for a dog walk. I've got lots to do today but have a really bad lower back ache. I'll see how it goes, really slowly.

Dog is enjoying the cooler evenings and so am I.

Surely getting them to land quicker would help by cutting out the endless looping until a slot is available?

Half price in Iceland (UK) at the moment. Thank you very much. 🍺

What an excellent show from @natashadevon.bsky.social tonight on @lbc.co.uk I switched up my schedule to cook a batch of (Hairy Bikers) Shakshuka while I listened in. Well worth a download. Thank you. 👍

Two buzzards circling overhead while I work on the car. What a wonderful day.

A long journey in Shitbox today, about 30 miles. It's seriously hard work with leaf spring suspension and no power steering. But very enjoyable. Grabbed a minute by Cesar's Well to take a photo. What a glorious machine.

Out early to avoid the rain and saw a couple of deer. Dogs went into a panic (but were on the lead so not a problem), deer just stood there.

This time last week I was at gender clinic. The dawn said it'll be a good day and it was. Discharged from clinic and marked as "stable". Hurrah.

Only a slight amount of rain forecast for next Friday, otherwise we're dry and sunny for a couple of weeks. So I'm using the old Series 3 Land Rover to give it a run out. It's a glorious vehicle, absolutely no features at all, just noisy rough driving. Brilliant. Forty-two years old.

Batch cooked lamb vindaloo, absolutely delicious. I'll use half a stick of cinnamon next time but otherwise it's five stars.

Home made tomato soup today, made in the slow cooker with Lidl vine ripened tomatoes (works out at 12 for £4.95ish). The slow cooker gives me free time to tidy up before the heatwave hits on Wednesday.

Six AM run around the top field for the dogs. Lots of sniffs to sniff so they covered a lot of ground. It was still warm (23°c) but the clouds really helped. They're now sleeping on the sofa which is good as mid 30s are forecast.
