On this day, 35 years ago, my insane ass graced this world with my presence! Since I’m still new to the platform and intentionally didn’t bring any followers to this space, I figured I’d finally give you new friends a bit of context… a bit… 🧵

Whenever we pluck the fruit of creativity from the golden tree our other hand plucks the fruit of destruction. Our resistance to this insight is very high! We would love to have creativity without destruction, but that is not possible." ~Robert A. Johnson, Owning Your Own Shadow

I’ve listened to my human,
crying out for relief
that never came,

and talked her through
hope—crushed
a hundred thousand times.

Today, she asks me
to leave her alone.

I sit on the other side
and respect her.

Missing you
has its own heartbeat,
its own ache.

I love you
to the point of no return,
intentionally.

If you want to play on the next level, 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰 𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴.

Trust in the process.

Allow him time to grow into the person he truly wants to become for you.

If his desire and commitment are real, he will grow with you in mind, and you'll get exactly what you want.

If not? Ya dodged a bullet.
holyhera.bsky.social
All this is not to say that men don't play along with this game.

They certainly do. And they may have even been the ones to initiate it.

But it's a game of shortcuts and mind games. 🧵

That way, when their life expands and more is required of him, he will feel as though he is the one who made that choice.

That he went into it with eyes wide open, with a woman he can rely on to match her actions with her words.

It makes all the difference in the world.

FIN. 🧵

But the woman who gets the man who grows into being responsible as a husband and father is the woman who makes it clear that she has expectations from the start.

She allows him to 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯 her rather than offering herself.

She is the prize he earns for the growth she demands with her solid presence. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
This tactic is reflective of a woman with a poor self-concept, one who does not already feel like her best self, even if that is not an obvious part of her external persona.

A woman who believes that with her particular influence, they could have a nice life, "if only he would just..." 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
It was never intended to be "tricking" or malicious.

Often, it was simply the woman's survival instincts at play.

She sees a man who is not 𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘦 the man she envisions herself standing beside as her best self, but he has potential.

𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡. 🧵

Most people are looking for partners who inspire them into growth, not people who can coerce them into a commitment, then expect they can figure out how to inspire them into growth later.

It's important to note, however, that the women who do this are rarely conscious of it. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
When he fails to meet her equally in all of the "invisible" ways that a woman comes to expect over time as she builds intimacy with her partner...

She eventually becomes resentful towards him for it, and he often feels as if the woman has tricked him.

And... It's kind of understandable. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
Because, in their courting phase, her marketing campaign was that she would always hold her own.

And... that went into his decision-making process when he chose her.

So, when it changes suddenly, and he fails to meet her halfway emotionally... energetically... romantically... 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
If she fails to, and begins expecting more from him, especially as they progress in things like marriage, home ownership, and children, she's likely to find him to be impossible to work with and resentful of her requests.

As far as he is concerned, that wasn't the agreement. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
But any man who truly sees it that way is very likely to be a disappointing partner to that woman, unless she is fully committed to maintaining the same boundaries even as the relationship grows and evolves. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
And she is not only reflecting his value and potential back to him, as women tend to do, but also using her own words and behavior to perform as a person who will hold her own... not be any fuss... always aim to be fair...

These women often imagine that they are the "no-brainer" option for men. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
But it is up to the individual man to decide how much integrity he is going to have when growing into that role... and it isn't easy.

Our modern world has largely been designed to keep men weak, confused, and distracted from their personal growth.

So by the time a woman comes around... 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
Most men are aware of a societal pressure to provide for and protect the women that they love.

But men are human, first and foremost.

We're all born selfish.

Finding a woman to marry and build a family with is, in a way, the masculine version of the sacrifice a woman makes to become a mother.🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
So, unless the man you're pursuing or entertaining has deconstructed his masculinity in order to understand the feminine perspective, he doesn't actually understand what it means when you say that you want an equal partnership.

He thinks he does... but he 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 doesn't. 🧵
holyhera.bsky.social
Because here is the thing you need to understand:

𝐌𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧.

They are raised to socialize differently.

They come at everything with a different perspective. 🧵
