Druid has used conjure animals to summon octopi and cast an ink cloud.

Completely blinding our front line.

*sad trombone noise*

But then the enemies swam past which enabled flanking and a wall of coral to be dropped into them.

With a double crit as my last roll of the campaign...

IDK, you sometimes come across fellow travellers who communicate the same way, right? 😀

Kindle to let me read non-Amazon books, whereas Kobo just lets me add them and read them from my phone. ❤️

Anyway, that's a weird ramble. Any thoughts from followers/booksky? Or questions/recs/rec requests about books? 😀

Not giving them more money seems like a plan.

Currently I'm looking at Kobo Unlimited which offers books and audiobooks. I notice there's also a £6.99/month subscription which is looking like great value (Audible is shitting the bed with AI Narrators and £8.99/month).

Also, I could never get /3

I use the Kobo app because I need my phone in my hand a lot of the time to manage anxiety, so might as well read a book!

Kindle is a smoother interface, often, and Kobo has no dark mode which is an offence against God and man.

However Amazon is clearly working towards holding my library hostage so

You may not know this about me, but I'm actually a lot more into books than anything else.

And that's coming from someone who has written, edited, and crowdfunded, a fair few TTRPG books.

So, I'm looking at Kobo. For reasons (link related).

lots of people know Łink from what he did to promote alt text usage here. this tip about pretending you’re describing an image over the phone has been burned in my brain since i saw it

IDK... I don't think that's a proper Mork Borg layout...

I can read it... 😉

Yup. Sora is going to make things work so much worse.

I think I will manage because I tend to do a lot of cross-checking but there's so much uncritical acceptance. Very concerning.

I know a lot of people don't like Kurgesagt because it has a pro tech bias, but I thought this was a decent video.

Maybe send it to someone who needs the shiny pictures explanation?

If you're wondering why I've unfollowed you after you changed your name and pfp it's because I had no idea who you were and your post was a bit mid.

Sorry 😞

There are some places that won't take cash, like in the UK but I used cash most of the time and it was fine. But having wechat pay or alipay is very convenient and pretty universal.

Food and drink is very cheap, except dark chocolate. But you can get proper bread in some places! It was good.

Didn't miss the smell of exhaust at all. Although I suspect there's some particulate matter from brakes and tyres, I didn't have black nose or ear discharge. Big improvement.

There's a chain that used to just sell toast. Now other baked goods.

Reports of being totally cashless are incorrect.

So, China.

Driving is terrifying. Everyone is constantly barging in and nearly colliding, pedestrians walk across the road, scooters hurtle everywhere...

But I didn't see a single scratched or dented car. Maybe they're paying attention to other road users?

Also: all electric. 1/
