🎉 Yesterday we celebrated the grand opening of the chaku kumtuks haws apartments in Northeast Portland! This project was made possible through an innovative partnership between Home Forward, Portland Community College, and the Native American Youth and Family Center.

Columbia Villa, now known as New Columbia, has a long history in Portland, originally established in 1942 as housing for World War II workers and later converted into low-income housing.

For decades the K-Ching Program offered young people in New Columbia meaningful summer work experience & this year was no different! In late July, the latest group of participants completed the program, taking with them valuable skills & new friendships

Home Forward recently celebrated the grand opening of Tistilal Village, a Native American Youth and Family Center (NAYA) redevelopment that includes 58 affordable housing units. Originally built in the 1970s, the apartment community was redeveloped to meet modern affordable housing standards.
