I continue to be grateful to Jewish Currents for their coverage of this genocide, including life in Gaza amidst it.

Now I can apply for grants and start moving toward the next (and much bigger goal) of 140k by June, which will allow me to work full time on this project and fund the first couple of books. Thank you friends.

And so I'm writing long emails, putting letters in the mail, and sending texts to try to get the word out. It's been actually really nice? But it takes a long time and it makes me more dependent on others to help spread the word for me.

I used to be excellent at social media, and after some years of short-lived binges and long abstinences, I've lost my touch for it. Whenever I think it's time to get back on, more stories come out about algorithms being modified, surveillance being increased, etc.

There is not a press that focuses on LGBTQ theology, spirituality, sexuality, good writing, and serious editing like Homodoxy will. There isn't a place for queers who have met God in unlikely bodies, including those of friends and strangers, and have been transformed to testify.

I've got a job interview coming up for that one job, incredibly enough, but regardless of how that goes, I will work on Homodoxy because I think there is a limit to what truths can be told through peer reviewed academic presses and Christian presses.

At a moment in my life as a doctoral candidate when I should be applying to about forty jobs in the hopes of getting a few interviews, I've applied for one job and spent the time I would be working on apps on preparing to make this little press.

Queers, Christians, leftists, etc., need more venues for good thought and writing, as well as for education outside the administration's current targets. We need to think, pray, read, and write together and create a fuck ton of new images and texts that provoke visions of a better life and world.

The confluence of AI’s proliferation and fascist ascendancy around the globe and in the States will mean we will trust less and less of what we see. Fascists already depend on telling people not to trust their own eyes, and AI is a wet dream for them.

They'll eventually direct their gaze toward major book publishers, too. This will require them to think the word "book," which might take a while, but I think it will happen.

The administration and idiot tech class are trying to add higher education and major media outlets to the social media platforms they already use to surveil, limit, and punish freedom of thought, life, bodily autonomy, love, non-nationalist faith, movement, etc.
