The other question I ask myself is: Is that a *good* photo which merits sharing? Or is it just a *naked* photo with no other merit?

To me, the litmus test for 'naturist' content is 'Would I be posting that photo if I was fully clothed?' If the answer is 'no' then probably it isn't appropriate in a naturist context, and falls more into the 'exhibitionist' category.

Another couple of weeks for me til the tree goes up. Tho I do have my 'Advent Tree' in place - a bare branch that I add one new ornament to each morning in the lead up to Christmas. Collecting evergreens today to make a wreath for hubby's grave - it's a bit late due to all the rain.

For me the point is, just posting salacious content (love that word!) does not make you a naturist, but being a naturist doesn't necessarily mean you never post more salacious stuff, but you hopefully know the two are not analogous and are aware what is appropriate/acceptable in which context.

For me context/intended audience is crucial. What I post here is slightly different from what I would post on a specifically naturist platform, which again is very different from what I post on a modelling site, or certain other social media groups, where there is a particular culture.

In many cases, they can only really be understood as sexually motivated exhibitionism. Which is when labelling them as #naturist becomes problematic. If I'm honest, particularly when I first started posting online, I have probably been guilty of falling into that category. But I try to avoid it now.

I enjoy viewing and appreciate both types of photo. What I am less keen on are images which blur the distinctions unnecessarily - they are not sufficiently thought out, posed and rendered to be considered art nudes, and are too centred on the model to be really good naturist images.

However, I also have/post images where the focus is on me, the model, and quite often my penis plays a central role in these. I'd define these as art nude photos, which I see as quite distinct from my naturism (altho if I wasn't a naturist, I probably wouldn't be taking them), but not incompatible.

I'm sure many of them do. But wouldn't want anyone to miss out on such an amazing experience.
December 7, 2025 at 7:29 PM
From a purely naturist angle. I probably would to. I get very bored with the guys who post virtually the same photo time after time. My penis with a blue coffee mug. My penis with a red mug. That's neither naturism nor art! 🤣

As a man who talks to lots of men (not just gay ones lol) I think most guys like (or even feel a need) to check out other mens equipment for comparison purposes. There is a need to work out how I rate relative to the other guy. Not necessarily a competitive thing, but almost from an aesthetic angle.
December 7, 2025 at 4:48 PM
Hands up - I voted option 4 in my poll. I am more than happy for guys to display their tackle - tastefully😅 - in the name of art. Like any other part of the human body 'those bits' can be celebrated and appreciated. But call it what it is and don't blur the boundaries with something else.
December 7, 2025 at 4:26 PM
I agree. I've said as much on here many a time: if your motivation is 'naturism', then why do you only ever post photos focused on your penis?
December 7, 2025 at 3:56 PM
It's given me an idea for my next article on my substack, which will also be quite tongue in cheek. Working title "The Penis Factor. Or How you'll learn to love my willy."
December 7, 2025 at 3:53 PM
I'll check for citations. The guy who mentioned it is quite a serious type who runs naked yoga retreats and the like, so I bet he has a reference.

I shared your article with my UK men's nudism group on MeWe, and followed up with a light-hearted poll. You may be amused by the results to date. Apparently, research says that whenever we meet a naked person, our gaze will be drawn to their genitals within 9 seconds on average! 🤣

In the end he came over anyway which was great, even if only for an hour or so. Distance is a big hurdle here. But then I know a guy in Glasgow, which has no shortage of nudies, who has given up trying to organise meetups as he'd cancelled so many due to lack of interest.
December 6, 2025 at 8:39 PM
We've decided to call it off - he was willing to make the effort so as not to let me down, but all in all we decided better to leave it for another day when he's less stressed and the weather is a bit better for travelling.
December 6, 2025 at 2:15 PM
One has cancelled as 'something came up' (Got swiped on Grindr? 🤣 ), and the other has family issues and may have to back out at the last minute, tho he's keen not to (and we've met before, so I tend to believe him!) Fingers crossed!

Nice one. Got a couple of guys coming round here this afternoon.... Third attempt lucky lol should be good.

Yes that might be a bit of a risk - shrinkage is one thing, but wouldn't want anything to drop off completely😱 At this point I'd maybe just put them in a cool place, like a windowledge away from any radiators, to cool their ardour a bit until springtime. 😆
