Beyond advanced stuff like it's support for ASCOM control, you can set it to store every sub frame so you can process the images yourself and learn how that works.

Now I'm a little north Seattle proper so it's not quite as bad, but there has been great work done in pushing results in high light pollution areas. This one for example is in Bortle 8

Orion shows great in Ha combination filters that help with light pollution, which these SeeStar units have. Here's one of mine I took a little north of Seattle from my backyard using one with my neighbors lights still on. I have a rig at SFRO but these seestars are just so compact for one offs
