I picked up Cursed Daughters within a few minutes of finishing The Wilderness, but the ending rattled me and lingered to the point that I couldnt really focus on a new story.

📖 The Wilderness by Angela Flournoy is a phenomenal read, but this lil personal tidbit is the cherry on top for me: sharing my first name and my favorite song in the club with a main character (and beeeen an auntie too 😂)

I overlooked the flaws throughout The Best Man: Unfinished Business because the story kept me entertained. But that ending⁉️ We already experienced that with Insecure. DPMO 😠

I'm so happy I was able to see D'Angelo twice, the last time being in 2015 during his Black Messiah tour. His stop was in Oakland at the Fox Theater during game 2 of the 🏀 finals. We watched GSW beat the Cavs while waiting for him a few feet from the stage.

Spike Lee is a chaotic ass interview. I know he had Tonya Mosley STRESSED 🤭 But he's a wealth of knowledge and info about pop culture, and lived an interesting life even before he made films. I hope he releases a more comprehensive memoir one of these days. Would love to read it.
