Man, the dynamic music in Phantasy Star Online is more complex than I realized.
The level songs are split up into about 60 sections. There's the normal music, transition into battle, battle music, and then transition back to normal. Each has about 15 different parts to switch to and from.

It's hard to be a perfect ally when it comes to this kind of thing, I don't think you should beat yourself up about sticking to the Windows OS or anything like that if you just don't have the time, money or ability to make more drastic changes. I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. Their products are too niche. In hindsight, they should've expanded more to items that could've sold cheaper, like those mini desktop arcade machines by MyArcade.
$500 is cheap for an arcade machine but it's still a lot to invest in and it takes up space.
