When you think about it, there’s a lot in there that can be thrown off depending where you land on the murder/mercy quandary

“What’s the one with a lot of smiting? Yeah that’s the holy text for me”

Some modern scholars contend that the words for “mercy” and “murder” in Aramaic are indistinguishable, and those scholars are Stephen Miller

I am dying to practice this law someday

I get it, but UK was basically a possession away from beating UNC and was within 4 at the FT line against Louisville. The roster construction was not good this season, but he deserves some time with Quaintance at least to see what happens. Plus, next season will probably have some new pieces

Wow, so a coach has to go if the program runs into problems before he has a chance to try to solve them? I think that’s probably more emotion over the results than anything productive. If he wasn’t a horrible coach last year he didn’t become one in 9 games.

If I was someone with an interest in college athletes rights, I’d encourage Wilson to take this to trial and get a legal precedent on how teams can establish that buyout clauses aren’t just penalties. Wilson was about 20th in tackles and t-5th in sacks on the team, was Georgia harmed?

Yeah it really is. 2 bigs, a bunch of combo guards who need the ball…that’s spot on

Yeah I agree, there’s a lot of offensive creativity and the defense looked excellent against UNC. My hunch is the staff thought either Garrison or Jelavic would take a step forward as a shooter, and instead both are unplayable. Noah can shoot and cut but he has 1 FGA in 23 min vs P5s.

For my two cents, the path on offense is probably Dioubate or Quaintance as initiators (separately) with Chandler and Owen as downhill/shooting threats. But there’s just no margin for error against good teams because of the lack of sensible lineups.

Incredible piece, I largely agree. I do think there is a path to a functional offense by using non-shooting bigs as off-ball screeners and in DHO actions. Moreno particularly has been good there. Issue is when Lowe comes back and needs ball in his hands to create.

Yeah, there were several great looks in that run. Overall I didn’t think the offense functioned badly in that stretch. Some spacing issues, and the pick and roll is not as good as the dribble hand-off stuff, but this wasn’t the same thing as the Michigan State or Georgetown games.

No idea, I didn’t look for that specifically. But if so, I’d bet a lot of those targeted the same player repeatedly.
