This is why law enforcement must identify themselves clearly and be unmasked. I hope we don't have to find out what a court will do when ICE tries to play secret agent with the wrong armed person. People have rights to self defense and there must be NO ambiguity about who is aiming a gun.

But a staggering proportion of Americans are this dumb and we're never going to make any progress until we address that problem. The rest of this is theater.

I can believe the cultural disagreements and that the left and right inhabit different realities. But why do the Trumpists do everything in a way that is such an over the top projection of inner evil? Even in movies evil villains are more nuanced than these guys.

Our soldiers don't sign up for this shit. Just because Trumpists use our soldiers as political props doesn't mean Democrats should follow suit.

Dems will never win this way. No one is going to watch this and change their mind about what's happening in LA. Focusing on hypocrisy is next to worthless. It doesn't land because no one thinks they're a hypocrite. We need peaceful Americans in the street waiving American flags. Win the image.

Big "we're all trying to find who's responsible for this" energy.
