If every one of the thousands of folks protesting showed up at their next City Council meeting to demand that they take an official stand to Fortify Washington (or any state) from this current administration and protect our environmental/climate initiatives, what kind of power would generate?
In mid-January I started as Advocacy Manager at the multifaith/multipractice environmental justice organization Earth Ministry/Washington Interfaith Power & Light. This is my first major contribution to their work, intended to be used to leverage this Saturday's protests.
If you are going to a protest, consider amplifying your attendance and help capture the power of these protests. This helps to begin build sustained movements at the local level - one that can get stronger over time and build momentum across more Washington cities.
