Today as I think of AIDS Awareness Day, I remember how devastating the virus was in the beginning. Everyone was fearful because no one knew how it was passed or how to treat it. It was a death sentence in those days. An AIDS diagnosis tore families apart and shattered romantic relationships. 1/4 🧵

The lines of people waiting to get into the theaters were massive! Sometimes people had to wait for the next showing because the theater was packed. Many of the people in line had already seen the film. John Williams did Star Wars concerts all over the country.

How about having a Congressional tour bus come to Yellowstone? They wouldn't want to miss the Bison Petting Zoo. Bison are timid and slow to anger, wet or dry. They especially love the game where you stand in front of them to block their path. Just the most gentle animals anywhere🙂.

Similar problems exist all over the world. Several major cities in America are under immediate threat. If we keep electing not only climate deniers but climate desecrators, we have ourselves to blame. The wealthy feel that they can ride out the disaster in relative comfort. They are wrong.

I had a cat that used to do that. He always wanted to go outside. We bought him a harness, took him into the backyard, and waited for him to lead the way. He immediately flopped on his side and wouldn’t get off the ground. When we stood him 👆👇 he’d go. We tried on other days. Nope🤭.
